Beginning January 1, 2017, the University of South Alabama in coordination with USA Health will offer employees the opportunity to participate in a new health and dental plan, USA Viva Health & Dental Plan.

USA Viva Health & Dental Plan is a narrow network plan consisting of USA Health medical providers and select providers from the Viva Health network. Viva Health working with USA Health will ensure access to primary care and all medical specialties. To help employees avoid long wait times at urgent care offices, Teladoc will be included for USA employees at no cost! This telehealth service provides access to a locally-licensed physician via phone or video for common conditions resulting in zero cost for the employee, time saved, and convenience. Out-of-network services will only be available for emergency care and when approved by Viva Health's medical director.
